Ball nose end mill has a ball shape end, has the function of semi
finish milling or fine milling of curved surface and circular
groove. The small diameter ball nose end mill can finish mill small
chamfer of steep surface and straight wall. Most of the ball nose
end mills are 2 flutes.In some situations, 4 flute ball nose end
mill are needed.

For milling workpiece of which hardness is HRC 60 to 65 degree,
carbide grade BT60 is applied as raw material(ground carbide rod),
BT45 has below physical characters:

Ordinary 4 flute ball nose end mill has poor heat dissipation
effect when it is used, so when it works in high intensity for a
long time, a lot of heat will be generated, which will affect the
service life of the ball nose end mill. Moreover, some metal chips
remain in the chip removal groove of the 4 flute ball nose end mill
during milling. And the outer spray coolant could not completely
spray to the chip removal slot hence reduce the effect of the spray
coolant. Betalent carbide improve this problem, we developed a high
temperature resistant 4 flute ball nose end mill to overcome the
shortcomings of ordinary 4 flute ball end mill.
