end mill is more popular then other type of end mill.
There are 2 flute(for key slot milling), 3 flute(for aluminum or
copper milling), 4 flute(general milling), 6 flute(special
application most in customize) flat end mills. 4 flute flat end
mill is the most general flat end mills.
For milling workpiece of which hardness is below HRC 55 to 60
degree, carbide grade BT55 is applied as raw material(ground
carbide rod), BT60 has below physical characters:

milling HRC45(+/-3degree),
HRC50(+/-3degree),HRC55(+/-3degree),HRC60(+/-3degree). Different
coatings are applied to fit difference hardness material milling.
They are copper TiSiN coating for HRC45, black NaCo4 coating for
HRC50, light copper nACXCo4 coating for HRC55, blue nACo4 coating
for HRC60. And for specific materials milling, there are specific
design, specific coating combines specific carbide grades. For
example, there are carbide flat end mills specially for aluminum
and copper(BT50 carbide grade,no coating, AD coating or DLC
